Carmel School held the Swearing – in – Ceremony of the School Cabinet in all its solemnity and grandeur on the 28th of April 2010 in the school auditorium.
The programme commenced with an inspiring prayer dance and the skit that followed revealed glimpses of renowned world leaders.

During the Elections held in the previous week, after a lively campaign, Mariyam Mirza was elected as the Student Pupil Leader (SPL) and Caralyza Edwin as the Asst. Student Pupil Leader (ASPL).They, along with various other ministers who were conferred with responsible portfolios formed the new Cabinet for the academic year 2010-2011.

The chief guests of the day were Mrs Qamar Mirza who adviced the new cabinet to work together as a team and Mr Issac Edwin who congratulated them on donning the mantle of responsibility which set them apart for a purpose to represent each and every student.

The outgoing cabinet represented by Anjali Harendran and Gopikrishna Pothuraju thanked the Management, Staff and the students for the overwhelming support given to them. They also gratefully appreciated the efforts put in by their team members. The outgoing cabinet then sang “We are One” reassuring the school of their continued co-operation and wished the new Cabinet success in their new responsibilities.

The new Cabinet along with Class Leaders and Asst. Class Leaders were pledged in by the Vice-Principal Sr. Serena. The Principal Sr. Maria Lytta, in her speech commended the outgoing cabinet for their “spirit of service with joy”. She congratulated the new leaders and reminded them that it is the leader who forms the chain of productivity by using human links of associates and team members and wished them well in their new endeavours.

As the new cabinet members embark on their journey of assisting in the smooth functioning of the school, we wish them every success during their tenure and hope they take Carmel School to new heights of excellence.
