Carmel School, Kuwait, established in 1969, is conducted by the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, who have several educational establishments all over India and the Andamans, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Africa and Rome. The school is primarily for Indians of all religious denomination.
Our goal is to form integrated persons, capable of responding to life’s challenges with joy and deep faith in God; guided by right values in their choices and decisions; enriched by our cultural heritage and committed to the service of our people. The school is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Kuwait and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is governed by the Registered Society of the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, India. The School prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE/Class X) and the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination(AISSCE/Class XII).Science and Commerce Streams are offered in the Senior School Certificate courses, for both boys and girls.
The medium of instruction in the School is English, with Hindi as a compulsory second language, till Std. VII. French is offered as an optional Second language in Stds. VIII, IX & X. Arabic is taught as a third language to all students from Std. II to IX.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE
- Students should attend teh School regularly and on time.
- Late comers should present themselves to the Principal / co-ordinator before they enter the class-room.
- Leave should be applied for in writing, to the Principal. In unforeseen circumstances, the student, on returning to School, should have the Reason of Absence entered and signed by the Parent / Guarding, in the “Record of Absence” in the Diary.
- A pupil absent from School for more than 15 consecutive days without a leave note is liable to have his / her name struck off the rolls.
- 75% of attendance is essential. Students who do not have the required attendance will not be promoted to the next class,
- A pupil will not be sent home or allowed to leave the school premises during the School hours without the permission of the Principal. In case of real necessity, a written note fromteh parent must be previously obtained to send a pupil home. If a parent cannot come to pick up the child, the name of the bearer of the note must be mentioned in the note.
- No Books, (other than the text books or library books) newspapers, periodicals, audio or video cassettes should be brought to the School without the approval of the Principal / co-ordinators.
- Use of mobile phones in the School is strictly forbidden, as also given in the CBSE Circular No. 2/2009. If brought in case of emergency, the students will leave the mobile phone in teh school office.
- Any kind of damage to the School property will be made good by the student responsible for it.
- The School does not accept any responsibility for the loss of money, books, clothes and other articles etc. All articles belonging to the students should bear their names. Pupils are not allowed to wear any valuable articles to School.
- No collection for any purpose whatsover should be made in the School without the previous sanction of the Principal.
- Eating is strictly forbidden during class hours. Chewing gum should never be brought to the SChool.
- Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person by one who will be responsible to the Principal, for the child.
- Only those who have completed 3 ½ years by April 1st, are eligible for admission into the Lower Kindergarten.
- Application for Admission should be made in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the school office, at the time of admission only.
- Students from other schools , will be tested before they are admitted to their respective classes.
- It is essential that a photocopy of the original Birth Certificate be submitted at the time of admission.
- Students coming from other schools cannot be admitted without the Leaving Certificate, which must be countersigned by the Inspecting Authority of that State
- Application for the withdrawals must be made in the prescribed form given in the Diary and submitted to the Principal at least a fortnight prior to their leaving.
- Leaving Certificates will be issued only if all schools dues have been paid and library books etc. are returned.
- The term fee has to be paid even if the child leaves in the middle of the Term.

EXAMINATION.
There will be a continuous and comprehensive evaluation in classes LKG – VI on a seven – point grade scale with no pass or fail system for classes LKG – II. In place of the formal examination, students will be assessed in every subject all round the year and the total marks per term will be translated into grade in their Achievement Record on a seven – point grade system thrice a year.
