CARMEL SCHOOL, KUWAIT
is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Kuwait and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India. The school is one of the oldest and most prestigious teaching establishments with a network of private schools in India and abroad. The co-education school has all modern teaching facilities like state of the art Computer labs, Science Labs, Language labs, Audio Visual labs, Art room, Music room and  playground facilities. NOTE: In classes XI and XII students are offered Science and Commerce stream. Subjects offered in Science  stream are English, Mathematics/Informatics Practices, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Computer Science

Subject offered in Commerce Stream are English, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics/informatics Practices.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM

At the end of each term, a terminal examination is conducted in addition to weekly Tests. Evaluation is based on student’s continuous performance during the academic year. Students securing 40% and above in all subjects are qualified for promotion.  Weightage is given for practical examination. The CBSE conducts two school leaving examinations: All India Secondary School Examination ( AISSE) at the end of class X and  All India Senior School Certificate Examination  ( AISSCE) at the end of class XII, the later being the qualifying examination for University entrance.

GRADING SYSTEM:

CLASSES XI & XII

                             Grade A : 75 - 100

                             Grade B : 65 – 74 

                             Grade C : 55 - 64 

                             Grade D : 45 – 54 

                             Grade E : 35 – 44 

                             Grade F : 34 and below 

CCE FOR CLASSES VI - X

                              Grade A1 : 91 - 100

                             Grade A2 : 81 – 90

                             Grade B1 :   71 - 80 

                             Grade B2 :   61 – 70 

                             Grade C1 :   51 – 60

                             Grade C2 :   41 – 50 

                             Grade D   :   33 – 40

                             Grade E1  :  21 – 32

                             Grade E2  :   20 and  below

NOTE: The assessment of academic courses of Board examinations is by the percentile 9-point grading system for which explanatory note has been given on the reverse side of Board Marks Sheet.
