The students of Class X achieved yet another feat in the examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) New Delhi. This year the students were given a choice between a Board conducted and a School conducted exam. Majority of the Carmelites however opted for the Board exam. The students were assessed in both the scholastic and co-scholastic areas- a system aimed at holistic development of learners; called the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation. This being the first year of the new system both parents and children were apprehensive about it’s outcome.

The Carmelites have excelled in their overall performance. Nine students secured an outstanding cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 10; nine secured a (CGPA) of 9.8 and another nine obtained a (CGPA) of 9.6.Fifty two students secured a (CGPA )of 9 and above. This is what Carmel saw in May 2011.The students as usual with sheer grit and determination saw their dreams come to fruition on stage when they were awarded shields and certificates for their exemplary performance in the last year.

Our students scaled the heights of success, climbed the flight to the highest pinnacle and hitched the wagon to the stars. All this and more with hardwork, dedication, helping hands and loving hearts that supported their every dream.
